Learnerships
Mo-Afrika Ithlokomele offers an end-to-end learnership training and project management service, which is designed to leverage the skills development scorecard under the B-BBEE codes. We assist companies with the set up and implementation of learnerships along with structured support for enrolled learners. We are able to offer on-site as well as off-site learnership hosting solutions. Mo-Afrika’s training, facilitation, assessment and moderation follows SETA guidelines.
Artisan Development (Apprenticeships)
Mo-Afrika as community based organization has identified a need to skill majority of previously disadvantaged young people in critical scarce skills in order to successfully fight the scourge of unemployment in our communities. In order to achieve this the organization source out funding from government institutions to implement and manage apprenticeship programmes through relevant training providers and work places.
Internship
The organization implement and manage internship programme for graduates from institutes of high learning. Our Graduate Learners are provided with the necessary on-the-job training according to a learning programme that corresponds with their field of study. Internships offer industry specific but not necessarily occupation specific experience. We have established partnership with various government and private stakeholders for hosting of interns for work experiential learning.
Work Experience and General Placement Services
We are able to provide flexible 6 – 12 months placement solutions through the government’s EPWP programme. Mo-Afrika is EPWP-approved and compliant, and is able to offer end-to-end project management support for EPWP on-site or off-site placements. In addition, our graduates are also assisted to access the economy through various placement solutions including full and part-time placements with support provided 6 months post placement.
Life Skills Education Life Skills
LEB (Learn, Earn and Believe life skills) is the programme that is moulded to runs conjointly with the Skill development programme, it is specifically address the negative behaviour of the learner and accelerate the development process of the learner, consequently it is facilitated through the learner-centred material for the advantage of the learner to discover, develop and display his/her latent potential to the highest level.
Advice, Information and Referral Desk
MoAfrika Ithlokomele Eductional Projects as community based organization provides relevant and in demand free information and referral services to everyone visiting any of its three centres. We provide youth with critical information related to their career paths and available career opportunities. The organization further exposed young people to government and private services aligned to their interests and aspirations. We also link them to skills development programmes offered MoAfrika Ithlokomele Educational Projects and provide job seekers with valuable soft skills to ensure that they are marketable. We provide free newspaper (workplace) every day in the centre, business magazine, brochure rag and a notice Board to advertise job opportunities from public and private sector.

HIV Testing Services (HTS)
In responds to national
Mo-Afrika Ithlokomele Educational Projects community health workers go around Region D doing Social mobilization, distributing condoms and conducting HIV Testing campaigns targeting extremely high risk areas. We apply various methodologies to mobilize communities to access services and provide HIV Testing Services including screening for TB and Non Communicable Diseases in communities that have limited access to service. We link HIV positive identified clients with nearest health facilities for care –e.g. ART access and treatment Adherence Support. This service is offered in line with the National strategic plan (90 90 90).
Crime awareness and Prevention Programmes
We are conducting crime prevention campaigns in conjunction with the SAPS South African Police, (Crime Prevention School monitoring teams), the programme is tailor made to discourage, sensitise and to educate the youngsters, especially the learners about the negative impact of crime, to an individual, family and community at large. The programme supports in excess of 3000 kids per annum and we intend extending our hand to tripling the figure.
Reading Promotion Programmes
Literacy skills are a strong predictor of future academic success in all subjects – and children who regularly read and hear engaging stories, in languages they understand, are well equipped and motivated to learn to read and write. Mo-Afrika promote and inculcate the culture of reading among kids and adult through community and online book clubs establishment. We support in excess of 4000 kids per annum with reading material.
